Wet walk in Sandside – Sunday 29th April

Well after quite a good week weather wise, we were optimistic that it would continue.  We were wrong.  Friends down at Milnthorpe had invited us down for a walk and roast dinner.

The weather was not so bad when we set off but then the heaven opened half way round and there was no turning back.  I was equipped in my waterproof trousers and trusted wellies.  There is something very enjoyable about splashing and jumping into puddles.  Wellies make you invicible!!

A quick pit stop at the pub to dry out a little, then head back to our friends for Sunday roast.  I must say I do love a good roast dinner, very comforting.

Whilst I am aways a fair weather walker, it is always good to get out for a walk whatever the weather.
