These are yummy and super easy to make! I froze half so there’s a treat in the freezer to have with a G&T 🙂
Ingredients
Small knob of butter
1 small eating apple, peeled and finely diced
6 chorizo style cooking sausages
Small handful of chopped parsley
375g puff pastry
3 tbsp apple sauce
1 egg beaten
2 tbsp poppy seeds
Method
Heat oven to 200°
Put butter and apple into a small pan and cook for 5 mins till softened. Leave to cool.
Remove skins from sausages and put into a bowl with the parsley and cooled apple. Mix together with a fork.
Roll pastry out to a rectangle 32x20cm and cut in half so you have 2 thin rectangles.
Spoon the apple sauce down the middle of both pieces pastry. Shape the chorizo mixture into 2 long sausages. Place on top of the apple sauce, brush the edges with egg. Bring the pastry together to enclose the mixture and seal edge with a fork.
Cut into smaller pieces, slash the top, brush with egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Bake for 25-30 mins until golden.
