Wansfell after work June 3rd

Not that I’m getting obsessed with walking but when there is a promise of such good weather, you have to take advantage.
So a walk relatively close to home was Wansfell. I’m afraid to say that we did cheat and walked up from Troutbeck.
Such a gorgeous evening but as we walked, could see the rain clouds forming over Morecambe Bay.
The paths on this walk were definitely well trodden.

It was a steep climb at first then evens and soon Wansfell Pike is in view. Gorgeous 360° views.

From here an undulating walk to the summit and wainwright of Baystones (also known as Wansfell!)

Descended by nanny lane to join the track back to the car. A great walk with fantastic views. As we got back into the car the heavens opened temporarily . Quick drive to Ambleside to get chips. Another ticked off only another 140 to go…
