These were inspired after being asked to be involved with the 21st Kendal beer festival. I was paired up with Brian from the Watermill at Ings to pair beer with food including my day job coffee. So shitzufaced beer, espresso brownies were born. Judging by the ooohs and aaahs it went down well when paired with shots of shitzufaced beer. Perfect combo
Oven 170°
Line a 9×13″ tin with baking parchment
Ingredients
1 x 100g plain chocolate broken into pieces
1 x 250g block of butter cut into cubes
1x cup of plain flour
1 x cup of light brown sugar
1 x cup of caster sugar
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup shitzufaced
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup chopped milk and white chocolate
2 tablespoons of ground Farrers Espresso coffee
Method
In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add the caster and light brown sugar.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a pot of boiling water. Remove the bowl.
Add the eggs and vanilla to the chocolate, mix well then add all other ingredients. Mix well and then pour into prepared tin.
Bake for 35-40 mins. Leave to cool then enjoy 🙂
