Gilpin Spice and all things nice

Gilpin lodge hotel has always been a favourite place of mine. The Cunliffe family who own it, are always innovative and have a real eye for detail. I love the interior and the food is always amazing. I was very excited to hear about their latest venture, Gilpin Spice. A restaurant almost like pan Asian tapas.

With an anniversary coming up it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try it out. Talking with friends about it , it went from being a romantic meal for 2 into a quadruple celebration with friends.

The restaurant had a separate entrance to the hotel.

The raining tree catches your eye as you approach.

The place is stunning as I would’ve expected.

The concept is sharing dishes. So many yummy things to choose from.

Here’s a selection of what we had.

Can’t wait to go back and sample some more. The great thing is you can just have as little or as much.
