A tick off my fabulist – conquering being out of my depth in water

I only learnt to swim in my late 20’s because I had a terrible fear of water and being out of my depth.  This was from when I was 7.  My first swimming experience was not a good one.  I remember being in the pool with my school class and we bounced around doing “ring, a ring, a roses” when it came to the bit “we all fall down”,we went under water, but I didn’t come back up and had to be fished out. Writing that, I can remember the feeling of the utter terror thinking I was going to drown. Continue reading “A tick off my fabulist – conquering being out of my depth in water”
