So my Wainwright obsession continues!
Living in the lakes affords me the luxury to get out in the hills when the weather is good. As a friend said, there is something decadent about being out on the hills when everyone has gone home.
Another twitteratti walk, this time taking in our final 4 Wainwrights to finish the Northern fells. Having just flown back from Ibiza was definitely itching to get back into the fells. With more birthday celebrations and a tweet up at the Beer festival in Staveley the previous night, decided on a more leisurely meet time of 11am.
So having previously climbed Scafell pike and Ben Nevis, Snowdon was there to be conquered. So decided before our holiday to Ibiza, we would do this and then had the crazy idea to do all 3 peaks over 3 days.
With my first wild camp having quite literally a rain check and Dave having completed the Great North swim, hadn’t planned any walks. So the weather was looking not too bad so decided to tick off Souther Fell. Completed quite alot of the neighbouring wainwrights on our first Twitter walk. Found ourselves with a free evening after plans changed, as we were still lucky enough to have good weather, thought we could squeeze in another evening walk.
